Edwardsburg rallies to remain undefeated

EDWARDSBURG — Undefeated Edwardsburg outscored visiting Otsego 27-16 in the second half to rally for a 47-38 win over the Bulldogs Tuesday night.

The Bulldogs (4-2) led 21-10 at halftime of the Wolverine Conference non-divisional contest.

Kaitlyn Zarycki and Kaitlynne Allen combined for 11 of the Eddies’ 16 third quarter points as Edwardsburg took a 36-30 lead into the final eight minutes of play.

Otsego was unable to mount a serious challenge in the fourth quarter as the Eddies improved to 7-0 on the season.

Zarycki finished with a game-high 18 points, while Claire Bartz added 14 points. Allen had eight points for Edwardsburg.

Mattison Rayman led the Bulldogs with 12 points. She was the lone Otsego player to reach double figures.

Edwardsburg returns to action Friday night as it travels to South Haven for another non-divisional Wolverine Conference contest. Tipoff is set for 5:45 p.m.
