A.J. Wilson was born 90 years ago in Sumner County, Tennessee to Marshall and Minnie (Hester) Wilson. He was the youngest in a blended family of 18 children. He passed away Sunday evening, Dec. 23, 2018, in West Woods of Niles.

A.J. moved to Indianapolis in 1948. He was a bakery supervisor for seventeen years at Omar Bakery. He was then employed as a supervisor at the Kroger Bakery for 22 years. He retired in 1988, then worked part-time as a route driver for a medical lab for eight years. He was an avid golfer and bowler. He and His wife, Susan, moved to Michigan in 2013 to be near her large family.

A.J. will be greatly missed by family and friends. He leaves behind his wife of 32 years, Susan (Springsteen) Wilson, of Niles; two sons, Donald (Joyce) Wilson, of Avon, Indiana, Andrew (Brenda) Wilson, of Indianapolis, Indiana; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Randall Wilson, James Wilson; one brother Raymond Wilson; and numerous step sisters and brothers.

Family and friends will gather from 1 p.m. until time of service at 3 p.m.  on Friday, Dec. 28, 2018, in Connelly Chapel Wagner Family Funerals, 202 North Broadway St., Cassopolis, Michigan.

Mr. Wilson will be laid to rest in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Cassopolis.
