NILES — Southwest Michigan saw between 5 and 6 inches of snow Sunday night, with flakes continuing to fall Monday and Tuesday. While the winter weather made for an unpleasant commute, the storm gave a festive feel to Niles’ downtown, coating Riverfront Park and Main Street in a blanket of snow and ice.
