Fredrick H. Cribbs, 90, went home to be with his heavenly Father at 8:25am on Thursday, Nov. 22, 2018.

Fred was born on Feb. 7, 1928, in Battle Creek, Michigan, to the late Archie A. and Eta M. (Carter) Cribbs.

On April 18, 1948, in Niles, Fred married Margaret J. (Olinghouse) who passed away on Oct. 23, 2003. Together they raised a beautiful family, son, Douglas (Tony) Cribbs, and daughters, Nancy (Charles) Lord, Karen Robinson, and Sarah (Doug) Booe. They were blessed with six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Fred was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Brian Robinson.

Fred impacted the lives of many in his family and his home church, Trinity Episcopal where he was very active, and many lives were touched by his faithful service. He enjoyed making people laugh with his comical comments. Fred was an Offset Pressman with Simplicity, after he retired from Simplicity he was a truck driver for Innovation Machining for 20 years, and was a Fire Chief at the Howard Township Fire Department.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 26, 2018, in Halbritter Wickens Funeral Home, 615 E. Main St., Niles.

A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2018, in Trinity Episcopal Church with Father Jim Slack officiating. Burial will follow in Mission Hills Memorial Gardens.
