EDWARDSBURG — Senior Skye Leach, who helped lead Edwardsburg to back-to-back district championships, has been named third-team All-State by the Michigan Interscholastic Volleyball Coaches Association.

Leach, who recently signed to continue her athletic and academic career at Valparaiso University, was joined by teammates Claire Alby and Jocelyn Hack, both of whom were honorable mention selections.

Niles’ Abbie Harpenau was also named honorable mention all-state.

Players are nominated by their coaches for all-region. Once named all-region, players are nominated for all-state by regional representatives.

Each division has three teams and up to 24 honorable mention players. Division 1 and Division 2 have 12 players selected for first, second and third team. Division 3 has 10 players selected for each team, while Division 4 has eight players selected.
