NILES — More than 2,000 runners took to the streets of downtown Niles Thursday to burn off some calories before eating their Thanksgiving feasts.
The Niles-Buchanan YMCA Thanksgiving Day Run has become a Niles tradition, inviting people to Niles on Thanksgiving morning for the past 37 years.
Runners had the choice between a 10K, 5K or 1-mile fun run.
