Raheem M. Bauer, 19, of Niles, passed away Sunday, Nov. 11, 2018, unexpectedly, at Lakeland Community Hospital in Niles.
On Jan. 1, 1999 in St. Joseph, Raheem was born and soon after was welcomed into the Bauer household where Robert and Linda showered him with love daily.
Raheem found such joy in sitting on his dad’s lap or just standing next to his mom. He always loved going for long car rides and even though Raheem wasn’t able to verbally communicate in ways most 19-year-olds did, he certainly knew how to get the attention he was wanting.
He attended Blossomland Learning Center where he received excellent care and developed wonderful relationships with his teachers.
Tragically, his father passed just two days after Raheem.
He is survived by his mother, Linda Bauer, his siblings, Kim (Mike) Szymonski of Anchorage, Alaska, Toby Workman of Spring, Texas, Robert (Debra) Bauer, Jr. of Phoenix, Arizona and Brad Bauer of Niles. He will also be missed by several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles and countless hearts he touched.
Those wishing to make a memorial donation in memory of Raheem are asked to direct them to Blossomland Learning Center, 711 St. Joseph Ave, Berrien Springs, Michigan 49103.
Services for Raheem and his father Robert will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 2018, at Brown Funeral Home in Niles, with a time of visitation two hours prior.
Photos, condolences and memories of Raheem may be shared with the family at BrownFuneralHomeNiles.com.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Niles.
