John E. Myers, 83, of Dowagiac, passed away on Friday, Nov. 16, 2018, at his home.

John was born on May 1, 1935, to the late Donald and Rosa (Stoker) Myers in Pokagon Township, Michigan.

He was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving from 1952-1956.

On Sept. 7, 1962, he married Margie Justus-Wilson in Dowagiac. John was a selfless man and his door was always open. Most of all, he cherished his family.

John is survived by his wife of 56 years, Margie Myers; son, Rick (Nancy) Myers, of Dowagiac; daughter, Lisa (Ron) Dutoi, of Granger; grandson, Jon Myers and sisters, Donna Hoger, Doris (Lewie) Hoyt, Diana Flanders, Linda Andersen and Darlene (James) Powell. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Rosa Myers; brother, Gabe (JoAnn) Myers; sister, Katherine Haas and brother-in-law, Larry Flanders.
