Register of deeds welcomes chief deputy

BERRIEN COUNTY — Berrien County Register of Deeds, Lora Freehling, announced that there is a new chief deputy to the Berrien County Register of Deeds. 

Cindi Connell joined the ROD office on Nov. 13. Connell comes to the ROD office with eight years of experience working as a deputy clerk for Lincoln Charter Township and previously had a position with Coldwell Banker Advantage.

“Cindi has a well-earned reputation as an outstanding public servant,” Freehling said.  “As we continue to strive for excellence in serving the residents of Berrien County, Connell’s outlook and approach will be invaluable to the Register of Deeds office.”

Connell, a lifelong resident of Berrien County, currently resides in St. Joseph with her husband and two children.  She is very active in the community assisting with her children’s school and extracurricular activities.
