Irving Walter Bessey, 77, of Cassopolis, passed away on Thursday Nov. 8, 2018, at his home.

He was born on Aug. 6, 1941, in Rumford, Maine to the late Merton W. and Ava (Stearn) Bessey.

On Nov. 5, 1961, he married Norma May Korhonen, she passed away on April 1, 2017, in Cassopolis.

Irving is survived by: three daughters, Salley Reed, of Cassopolis, Sheila Scott of Edwardsburg, MI, Sue Aller, of Clarksville, Tennessee, a brother, Harold (Pat) Beseey, of Rumford, Maine, a half-sister, Delia, of California, four grandchildren: Robert Scott, Samantha Scott, Ashley Taylor, Michael Aller, three great grandchildren: Boden Scott, Katya Taylor and Alera Taylor.

Irving retired from NIPSCO after 25 years of dedicated service. He was lifetime member of NRA.

Per Irving’s wishes there will be no services or visitation. Cremation has taken place.

Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with his arrangements.
