DOWAGIAC — The 51st annual Turkey Trot, sponsored by the Dowagiac Union Schools Athletic Department, will be Nov. 18 on the Roadrunner Trails at Southwestern Michigan College.

The race, under the direction of Ron Gunn, will start on the west end of the Roadrunner Trails at the Dowagiac Middle School.

The rustic trails are reminiscent of the earliest Thanksgivings.

The race is Michigan’s oldest Turkey Trot with the same race director.

There will be 30 age divisions. First-place winners receive wood laser cut awards, while second- and third-place finishers will receive medals.

There will be a 10K, 5K and a 1K kids’ fun run.

Cost, which includes a T-shirt, is $25 if postmarked before Nov. 12. Cost after that date is $30.
