LaVina Joan Decker, 76, of Buchanan, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018, at Lakeland Medical Center in St. Joseph.

She was born March 27, 1942, in Niles, to the late Edward and Geneva Schrader.

On April 16, 1960, she married Norman Decker at a ceremony in Buchanan.

LaVina is survived by her husband of 58 years, Norman; children, Dennis (Cindy) Decker, Cynthia (Tom) Haines, Kathryn Griffith; siblings, Edward (Cathy) Schrader, Susan Brandon; grandchildren, Julie Wenger, Namath Teeter, Kevin Wenger, Heather Helt; great-grandchildren, Brayden Ramey, Kherington Helt.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Geneva; and sister, Linda Kohler.

Funeral service for LaVina will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2018, at Hoven Funeral Home Inc. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 1p.m. Online condolences may be made at hovenfunerals.com.
