Ronald Albert Gless, 72, of Cassopolis, died peacefully Monday, Oct. 29, 2018, at home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Oct. 16, 1946, in Dowagiac, the oldest of four children of Alfred and Dorothy Gless. He married Terry Lee Vandygriff March 7, 1970, in Niles. She preceded him in death in 2013.
Ronald will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by two sons, Greg (Brigette) Gless and Gary Gless, both of Cassopolis; two granddaughters, Hannah Gless, Ella Gless; one grandson, Zachariah Gless; one sister, Anna (Gary) Pfender of France; one brother, Erich Gless of Vandalia; one brother in law, Charles Grayam of Niles; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and one sister, Connie Grayam.
Family and friends will gather for a Celebration of Life from 5 until 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, 2018, in the Jefferson Township Hall, 24725 Jefferson Center St., Cassopolis. In keeping with Ron’s emphasis on schedule and routine, there will be a time of storytelling and sharing at 5, followed by a dinner at 5:30 p.m. Please bring a side dish to pass.
The family prefers contributions be made in Ronald’s memory to Heartland Hospice, 8076 Creekside Drive, Suite 120, Portage, Michigan 49024.
