All day — Election day

The library is encouraging the public to vote at their local polling places on election day, Nov. 6.

10:30 a.m. — Storytime

Storytime at the Dowagiac District Library follows the ‘Every Child Ready to Read’ model, which encourages children to read, write, talk, sing, and play. Each storytime features a book or two, a hands-on project or learning activity, and a light snack. Letters, numbers, shapes and colors “of the day” are often incorporated into the theme. Designed for ages toddler to 5 years old.

Thursday, Nov. 8

4 to 5 p.m. — Teen trivia

Teen trivia will be hosted on Nov. 8. Trivia categories will change from month to month and might include sports, music, pop culture, book titles, history, holidays, poetry, fast food slogans and more.

Friday, Nov. 9

10:30 a.m. — Storytime

6 to 8 p.m. — Essential oils class

Amanda Maggert leads this class on the basics of essential oils. Class will meet upstairs in the children’s area. Signup is encouraged because space is limited.
