Charon Ann Hense (Bertelsen), 57, formerly of Keeler, Michigan, passed away on Oct. 21, 2018, in Hot Springs Arkansas.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018, at Sister Lakes Lions Club. Memorial contributions in Charon’s name may be made to the family in care of Alberto Martinez. Those wishing to leave an online condolence may do so at clarkch.com.

Charon was born on April 24, 1961, in Watervliet to Bruce and Nora (Haley) Bertelsen. She married the love of her life Alvis Hense in 1991. Charon worked for Burnette Foods in Hartford for many years before her illness. She was known as a hardworking and dependable woman, and would do anything to help her family and friends. Charon enjoyed music and loved to dance. Most of all she loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Charon is survived by her loving husband, Alvis Hense of Mt. Ida, Arkanasas; sons, Alberto (Anna) Martinez of Sister Lakes and James Hense of Mt. Ida; and grandchildren, Ryan, Isaiah, Nick, Justin “Bubba,” Natalee and Carson; siblings Sarah Hutchinson, Christina Bertelsen and Alex Bertelsen; aunt Laure and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Nora Elizabeth Moore-Hunt and siblings, Teresa Miranda, Dino Bertelsen, Donald Bertelsen and Kathy Parsons.
