As a southwest Michigan resident, the Great Lakes mean a lot to me. Congressman Fred Upton gets it. Upon the discovery that plastic microbeads, found in certain personal care products, would pose a threat to the Great Lakes, Fred Upton drafted legislation to ban the use of these harmful products.

Fred responded quickly, in a bipartisan manner, to get the job done. President Obama signed Fred’s bill into law.

Fred cares about the environment and does so by passing common sense solutions that still allow for economic growth and stability to our region of Michigan. Thank you, Congressman Upton, for protecting our lakes. You have my vote in November.
