Minnesota authorities seeking wanted fugitive in Niles

NILES — Authorities from Minnesota are searching for a fugitive they believe has relocated to Niles.

Bogdan Stanislavovich Churkin

Bogdan Stanislavovich Churkin is a wanted and the Minnesota apprehension team is offering a $1,000 cash reward for the anonymous tip that leads to his apprehension.

Churkin is believed to be renting a room from a Niles man that Twin Cities Apprehension Team is working to identify as well. Minnesota authorities believe Churkin is working in construction, remodeling, or handyman work in the Niles, Mishawaka, Goshen, and South Bend areas.

TCAT is not encouraging anyone to approach this individual, and is asking for anyone with information to contact the 24- hour anonymous tip line at (612) 254-7400.

Authorities emphasized that all defendants are presumed innocent, until proven guilty in a court of law.
