Evagene Marie Murdock, 83, of Galien, Michigan, passed away on Friday, Oct. 12, 2018, at Brentwood in Niles.
She was born Aug. 9, 1935, in Maysville, Kentucky, to the late William and Pearl (Ruggles) Wilson.

On Oct. 23, 1954, Evagene married Clarence “Buster” Murdock, who preceded her in death in February 2000. She was a lifelong member of Olive Branch United Methodist Church of Galien, Michigan.
Evagene is survived by her son, Richard (Jackie) Murdock; daughters, Jeanette (Larry) Housour, Dorothy (Eric) Axelberg, Donna (Floyd) Horner; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by grandson, Jeffrey Housour.
Funeral service for Evagene will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2018, at Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Galien Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at hovenfunerals.com.
