Photo story: Apple Festival horseshoe tournament

NILES — Visitors to the Four Flags Area Apple Festival had some fun while vying for cash Sunday, as the festival wound down with the annual horseshoe tournament.

Participants competed in doubles, singles and quads, in a traditional tournament style that pitted the best competitors against each other as they advanced through the contest. First-place teams were awarded $50, second-place $30 and third-place $20.

In the singles division, first-place winners were awarded $25, second-place $15 and third-place $10.
