Jane Ann Anderson, 69, of Dowagiac, passed away on Monday, May 21, 2018, at Lakeland Medical Center in St. Joseph.

Jane Ann Anderson

Jane was born on July 9, 1948, in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Willis Doyle and Ann (Harris) Telaar. She attended Van Buren High School in Arkansas, where she graduated from in 1966. She graduated from WestArk Community College in 1968.

On April 11, 1970, she married the love of her life, Leon C. “Andy” Anderson, Jr. in Van Buren, Arkansas.

Jane was a teacher’s aide for many years at Patrick Hamilton Elementary in Dowagiac, before retirement. She loved singing in Church Choir and the Community Choir at SMC, gardening, and decorating her historic Victorian home, but most of all she loved her family and will be missed by all who knew her.

Jane is survived by her husband, Andy; their children, Timothy (Casey) Anderson, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Joshua (Mary) Anderson of St. Louis, Missouri and Dale (Stephanie) Anderson, of Corpus Christi, Texas; grandchildren, Julia (Andrew) Clanton, Amelia Anderson, Victoria Anderson and Rael Anderson and one great-grandchild, Theren Clanton.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Wade Telaar and her sister-in-law, Denise Telaar.
