NILES — While rainy conditions Friday kept the fifth annual Jazz on the River from taking place in the amphitheater in Riverfront Park, students performed for an audience at Niles High School.

Performances included the Ring Lardner Jazz Band, New Buffalo High School Jazz Band, Ring Lardner Voices, Niles High School Counterpoints, Edwardsburg High School Jazz Band, Niles High School Jazz Band and SMC Jazz Band.
