NILES — Junior Jaden Croom and sophomore Jordan Abrams of Brandywine were both named first-team BCS Athletic Conference All-Red Division in boys basketball.

Buchanan’s Carter Jeffries and Austen Taylor, both seniors, were also first-team picks.

“They are the heart and soul of our team,” said veteran Brandywine coach Nathan Knapp. “One of the things we talked about was we try to stay away from individual goals and play as a team. Jordan and Jaden both play really hard and everything they do they do for their teammates.”

Dalton Knapp and Shane Brown of Brandywine, along with Chris Young of Buchanan, were honorable mention selections.

“Shane took care of the ball for us,” Knapp said. “He grew up a lot as a sophomore. Dalton, he was a standout on defense. He did not score as much as he would have liked to, but he was there always there to help when someone would get beat by anticipating it.”
