Hazel Whitaker, 87, of Niles, passed away at West Woods of Niles on Wednesday, March 28, 2018.

Hazel was born on Nov. 29, 1930, to the late Boyd and Angie (Gann) Tittle in Lynn, Alabama.

Hazel came from a hard-working family. She was later married and had five children. After that marriage ended, she wed Floyd Whitaker and had another son. She worked for over 10 years as a pattern folder for Simplicity Pattern Company. She enjoyed spending time in her vegetable garden and was always proud of her immaculately clean house.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Floyd Whitaker; daughter, Linda Gail Ingle; grandson whom she raised, Tim Ingle; and brothers, Ordrus, Orbie, Brody and Oaklus.

Hazel is survived by her children, Ray (Barbara) Ingle of Townley, Alabama, Ann Carlisle of Niles, Steve (Marie) Ingle of Niles; Terry (Sally) Ingle of Rineyville, Kentucky, Mike (Marjorie) Ingle of Tuscon, Arizona, and Jimmy (Kathy) Ingle of Niles; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Gratha Evans of Niles and Nellie Akers of Niles; and many extended family members and close friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 2, 2018, at Brown Funeral Home, with a time of visitation one hour prior.
