Robert Glover is a senior on the Niles wrestling team
What has been one of your greatest accomplishments as an athlete?
RG: Becoming ranked.
What has been one of your biggest disappointments as an athlete?
RG: Losing in the blood rounds to go to state.
Who is a “hero” in your life and why?
RG: Ryan Glover. Because he always pushes me to keep
going.
When are you the most nervous while you are
competing?
RG: When I am about to walk out on the mat.
Describe an embarrassing athletic moment.
RG: When I lost in the blood rounds to go to state.
How do you tend to work out/train when by yourself?
RG: Ride a stationary bike.
What other sport would you like to compete in if you were not playing yours?
RG: Basketball and lacrosse.
Why are sports an important part of a high school
experience?
RG: Because every year it is a new experience.
How would you give away $50,000?
RG: I would give it all back to the schools.
If you could be the head coach of a team for a year, what team would you choose?
RG: Alabama football.
If I did not play sports, I would…?
RG: Sit at home and play PlayStation.
What is the most challenging thing for you to do in your sport?
RG: The practices.
If you could change one rule about your sport, what would it be?
RG: You can get five back points.
What is the best compliment you have ever received?
RG: That I am a world-class athlete.
What was the scariest thing you have had to do? Are you glad you did it?
RG: Rode a rollercoaster at Disney, and yes, I am glad I did it.
What was the last thing you saw someone do that really impressed you?
RG: Step on an invisible box.
What is your favorite hobby? Why?
RG: Fishing, because it lets me be alone.
