Daniel E. Blake, of Niles, passed away at 5:27 p.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2018, in Lakeland Hospital, Niles.

Dan was born on Feb. 12, 1958, in Nashau, New Hampshire, to the late Franklin E. and Rita A. (Ravenell) Blake. Dan was also preceded in death by a brother, Donald Blake; and son-in-law, Jessie King.

Dan is survived by his wife and loving companion of 21 years, Beverly (Wildeman) Blake; daughter, Annette King; step children, Karen Ausra and Christopher Ausra; grandchildren, Jacob, Isaac, and Ethan; sister, RuthAnn Nation; and brother, Joshua Blake.

Dan enjoyed fishing, playing pool, racing events, working on model cars and anything to do with racing. He enjoyed spending time in his man cave with friends watching Michigan Football and Racing. He loved being a papaw.

Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, in Halbritter-Wickens Funeral Home, 615 E. Main St., Niles. Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 22, 2018, in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
