Marian Irene Youngs, 86, of Cassopolis, died peacefully Monday, March 5, 2018 in the comfort of her family’s presence in her residence.

She was born June 13, 1931in Elkhart, Indiana, the fourth of seven children born to August and Sarah (Girt) Kiner.

Marian loved her birds and flowers. She was an accomplished painter of nature. Marian loved to read. Nobody ever walked away from her wondering what she was really thinking – they knew!

Marian will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by one daughter, Laura (Tom) Carroll of Edwardsburg; two sons, Rick (Jackie) Tolbert of Sandy, Oregon, Jeff (Melissa) Tolbert of Edwardsburg; nine grandchildren, Angela (Brian) Thompson-Gerrity, Amy Thompson, Sean Hammock, Alicia (Ben) Harris, Jamie (Mike) Nowicki, Allison Langton, Ryan (Ashley) Langton, Harold Tolbert, Jessie (Bruce) Rose; sixteen great grandchildren; Kassandra (Michael) Campbell, Justin Saavedra, Brianna Gerrity, Jayden Gerrity, Britni Rose, Ryan Rose, Brock Rose, Brandon Rose, Jeffrey Nowicki, Robert Nowicki, James Nowicki, Elijah Harris, Jonathan Jeffrey Harris, Oliver Langton, Hank Tolbert, Danica Tolbert; two great great grandchildren, Ava Campbell and Paxton Campbell.

Marian was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters; and three brothers.

Family and friends will gather on a date and at a time and place to be announced.

The family is especially grateful for the 24/7 care given by Lisa Carey and Pam Ball, whom Marian grew to love. The family cannot thank them enough.
