Lee Elinor Brooks, 72, of Dowagiac, passed away on, Feb. 21, 2018, at her home in Niles.

A private memorial Service will be held with burial at Riverside Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions in Lee’s name may be made to the family, in care of Raymond Brooks. Those wishing to leave an online condolence may do so at www.clarkch.com.

Lee was born on September 25, 1945 in Dowagiac to Carl and Margaret (Marks) Vylonis. She graduated from Dowagiac High School in 1963. On April 2, 1966 she married the love of her life, Raymond “Ray” Brooks in Dowagiac. Lee was known as a very kind person and would give the shirt of her back to anyone who needed it. She lived for her family and will always be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Lee is survived by her loving husband, Ray Brooks; children Lisa Oakes and Terry (Tracy) Brooks; three grandsons and one great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Carl Vylonis and Terry Vylonis.
