Niles Township photo contest winners selected

NILES TOWNSHIP — Winners of the Niles Township photo contest were selected Monday night during the Niles Township’s regularly scheduled board of trustees meeting.

Those who chose to participate in the contest were asked to capture life in Niles Township with their cameras.

The first place winner chosen was Lupe Martinez, who snapped a photo of a picnic table shrouded in fall leaves. Second place was awarded to Susie Recio, who captured a bird snacking at a bird feeder and third place was Trina Rodriguez with a picture of a snowy road. The women are sisters who have lived in Niles Township for a number of years and said they enjoy taking pictures of the area.

As winners, their pictures will be displayed on Niles Township’s new website. Additionally, they received a certificate of appreciation from Jim Ringler, the treasurer of the board of trustees.
