Robert Brown Jr. is a senior on the Niles boys basketball team.
What has been one of your greatest accomplishments as an athlete?
RB: Every time I lead my team to victory.
What has been one of your biggest disappointments as an athlete?
RB: When Nate (Goins) got injured at the Dowagiac game.
Who is a “hero” in your life and why?
RB: My mom. She always inspires me and makes sure I am on the right track.
When are you the most nervous while you are competing?
RB: When we are down by one and there is three seconds left in the game.
Describe an embarrassing athletic moment.
RB: When I almost got dunked on.
How do you tend to workout/train when by yourself?
RB: I run and lift.
What other sport would you like to compete in if you were not playing yours?
RB: Football.
Why are sports an important part of a high school experience?
RB: To get ready for the next level.
How would you give away $50,000?
RB: I would give it to poor families.
If you could be the head coach of a team for a year, what team would you choose?
RB: The Chicago Bulls.
If I did not play sports, I would…?
RB: I would have full-time job.
What is the most challenging thing for you to do in your sport?
RB: Shooting 3-pointers.
What is the best compliment you have ever received?
RB: I am a really good player and I can make it.
What was the scariest thing you have had to do? Are you glad you did it?
RB: I really have not done anything scary.
What was the last thing you saw someone do that really impressed you?
RB: I saw someone help an older lady to her car.
What is your favorite hobby? Why?
RB: Basketball, because I just love to play.
