Theodore “Ted” Lyle III, 71, of Dowagiac, passed away Wednesday. Jan. 24, 2018, at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville.

He is survived by his wife Diane Lyle, three daughters Rechelle (Morseau) Herman of Stevensville, Shannon (Morseau) Adams of Dowagiac, and Sonya Morseau of Dowagiac. Ted was the proud grandfather to seven grandchildren, Jessica (Nick) Fortuna, Skylar Herman, both of Niles, Kadyn Wesaw of Stevensville, Derrick Hiler, Nate Hiler, Logan Hiler, and Presley Adams, all of Dowagiac. Great-grandchildren include Lucas and Olivia Fortuna and Keera Herman, all of Niles. Brother-in-law, Chuck Wolford, and niece Susan Mason both of Texas.

Ted is preceded in death by his mother Dorothy (Shafer) True, his father Theodore Lyle II, son Anthony and his sisters Terry Wolford, of Texas and Carol, of Dowagiac.

Ted enjoyed camping, watching the New England Patriots play and spending time with his beloved family. Ted’s family would like to thank Dr. Brinker at Lemon Holton Cancer Center of Grand Rapids, Hospice at Home of St. Joseph, and Hanson Hospice Center of Stevensville for all of their wonderful care for Ted and his family.

A Memorial Service will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, at Clark Chapel funeral home, 405 Center St. Dowagiac. Friends and family are invited to a luncheon following service at the Moose Lodge from immediately following the memorial service. Memorial contributions in Ted’s name may be made to Hanson Hospice.
