Robert “Bob” Lee Manley, 86, of Dowagiac, passed away Friday, Jan. 26, 2018, at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo.

Bob was born on Oct. 6, 1931, to Theodore and Lena (Wells) Manley, in Cassopolis.

He graduated from Dowagiac High School in 1951, where he was known as an outstanding athlete. He proudly served our country in the United States Army from 1949 to 1951.

On Sept. 15, 1952, he married Sharon Foreman in Dowagiac. Bob worked has a manufacture for Clark Equipment in Buchanan for over 20 years before retirement. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed sports, especially cheering for the Dowagiac Chieftains and University of Michigan. Most of all he loved his family and will be missed by all who knew him.

Bob is survived by his children Rob (Paula) Manley, Mark Manley, Brad (Merri) Manley, Pamela Manley and Lyna Manley; daughter-in-law Kathy Manley; grandchildren Derek Manley, Gavin Manley, Luke Manley, Quentin Manley, Brett Manley, Kyle Manley, Ryan Manley, Jason Manley, Evan Manley, Stacey Ostrom and Dana Barnett; great-grandchildren Dominick Manley, Gabriel Manley, Kaylan Manley, Lincoln Manley and Taz Manley; siblings Jo Ann Morisky, Patti Manley and Diane Manley.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; wife Sharon in 1998; son Ricky Manley in 1979 and brother William Manley in 2006.
