BUCHANAN — The city of Buchanan announced Wednesday that its annual Thrill on the Hill event, which was to take place Jan. 26-27, has been cancelled.

City manager Bill Marx said that the expected weather for the days Thrill on the Hill was to take place was not conducive to the event, as warm weather and rain is predicted. On the city’s Facebook page, city officials said that the weather must be in the mid-teens with no humidity in order for Thrill on the Hill to be successful.

Officials added that they were cancelling the event more than a week in advance in order to allow business owners to make adjustments to their plans for Jan. 26 and 27.
