Leon B. Gillentine, 93, of McMinnville, Tennesee

Mr. Leon B. Gillentine, 93, of McMinnville, Tennesee, died Monday, Jan. 15, 2018, at Raintree Manor Nursing Center.

He was a long-time resident of Niles, where he began work at the Studebaker Corporation, eventually retiring as a plumber and heating and air conditioning contractor, was a licensed pilot, an avid traveler and was a member of the Church of Christ at East End.

Mr. Gillentine was preceded in death by parents, William Tee and Vera Brewer Gillentine, wife, Jessie Ruth Martin Gillentine, sister, Maxine Antis, and brothers, Ray, Jess, J.B., and W.T. Gillentine, Jr.

Survivor: include sisters-in-law Lorena Hillis, Martha Martin and Juanita King, brothers-in-law Sam (Gerry) Martin and Harold (Claudia) Martin, nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.

Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018, at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Ray Weddington and Bro. Kevin Key officiating. Interment at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will take place at from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at McMinnville Funeral Home.
