With Alabama’s dramatic come-from-behind overtime victory over Georgia in the College Football Playoffs championship game, Tom Atkinson locked up the Leader Publications Football Forecaster title Monday night.

Atkinson edged out Sue Dobrich for the championship as she picked the Bulldogs, who led 20-7 at one point, to win the national championship.

Atkinson finishes with a record of 123-46, while Dobrich drops to 121-48.

Brent Nate finished third at 121-48, while Allison Hayes was fourth at 120-49 and Bruce Laing fifth at 119-50.
