DECATUR — Freezing temperatures and heavy amounts of snowfall created a wintery landscape at Russ Forest Park in Decatur over the weekend, as captured by Dowagiac photographer Scott Rose.

“My footsteps and a few clumps of snow falling from the trees were the only sounds I heard,” Rose said, describing the peaceful park he photographed Saturday afternoon.

The park, located at 20379 Marcellus Highway in Decatur, spans 13 acres and is described as the Cass County Parks Department as one of the most heavily trafficked parks in Cass County. (Photos courtesy of Scott Rose)
