DOWAGIAC — The Dowagiac girls basketball team snapped a 37-game Wolverine Conference losing streak with a 47-42 win over Paw Paw Friday night.

Amiyah Smith led the Chieftains with 15 points, while Kazmere Williams added 14 points.

Dowagiac is now 1-1 on the season and 1-0 in the Wolverine Conference.

The Chieftains head to Benton Harbor for a non-conference contest Tuesday night.
