Frances D. Weaver, 86, of Marcellus, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017.
She was born May 3, 1931, in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Warren Donald and Katherine Mae (Cummings) Lillie. On Dec. 30, 1950, in Roseland, Indiana, she married Arthur D. Weaver, who preceded her in death.
Frances has resided in Marcellus since 1963 and previous to that in Arizona. She graduated from Dowagiac High School in 1949 and went on to graduate from Southwestern Michigan College. She was a member of the Southeast Michigan Fiddlers Association.
Frances loved being with her family and especially having family cookouts. She enjoyed being outside, gardening and had a love of music. She played the piano and many other musical instruments.
She is survived by one daughter, Dawn (Joseph) Bessey of Marcellus; five sons, Robert (Connie) Weaver of Camp Verde, Arizona, David Weaver, Timothy Weaver, Troy Weaver and Darron (Marie) Weaver all of Marcellus; two sisters, Jonelle Knouse and Sharon Heron both of Dowagiac; one brother, Lonnie (Carol) Lillie of Arizona; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two step-great-granchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, Connie Lillie, four brothers, Jack, Joseph, David and Richard Lillie.
