Rebecca Kristine Maxey, daughter of Chris and Franny Maxey, and Matthew Johnson Davidson, son of Brenda Davidson and the late Lynn Davidson, were married on Aug. 26, 2017, at the Maxey family home in Dowagiac.

The ceremony was officiated by Kraig Kirkdorfer, friend of the bride and groom. Mandy Lattin, of Spring Lake, served as maid of honor, and Eileen Springsteen, of St. Joseph, as bridesmaid. The groom was attended by best man Chris Story, of St. Joseph, and groomsman Dustin Bartee, of St. Joseph.

Maxey graduated from Dowagiac Union High School and the University of Michigan with a degree in English language and literature, and is employed by ARS Advertising in St. Joseph as a senior content manager. Davidson graduated from Buchanan High School and Lake Michigan College with a degree in general theater, and works as an audio visual technician with Eventsys Audio Visual Specialists in South Bend.

After a honeymoon trip to Savannah, Georgia, the couple now resides in Buchanan.
