Anna Tibbits, an Eastside Connections student won gold in a figure skating competition at the national State Games of America in Grand Rapids. Tibbits is now qualified for the 2019 State Games of America to be held in Lynchburg, Virginia.

Tibbits is a member of the Irish Figure Skating Club. She practices skating three times a week at South Bend’s Ice Box.
