Homer Ray Kimbrough, 93, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, Aug. 19, 2017.
He was born June 29, 1924, in Batesville, Arkansas, the son of James and Elizabeth (Johnson) Kimbrough.
Homer retired as an area vice-president from Townsend Tree Service, where he had worked most of his life.
He was an active member of University Christian Church.
Homer loved yard work, gardening, woodworking, and, most of all, time spent with his family.
Survivors include his children, Sue (Ron) Geer, Norma Jean (Rick) Purucker, Mark (Misty) Kimbrough, and Ronald (Sherry) Kimbrough; 15 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; treasured brothers-in-law and daughters-in-law.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 56 years, Barbara Kimbrough; sons, James Ray and Kenneth Ray.
Services will be Wednesday Aug. 23, at 3 p.m. at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Ave., Muncie, Indiana, with Pastor Steve Huddleston officiating.
Visitation will be Wednesday at Elm Ridge Funeral Home from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at 3 p.m.
Entombment will take place in Elm Ridge Memorial Park Mausoleum.
