Buchanan lottery player to set sail on western Caribbean power cruise

LANSING — Five Michigan Lottery players will be setting sail on a five-day western Caribbean cruise after winning the Cruisin’ instant game second chance drawing.
The winners are:
• Michelle Allen, of Warren
• Nicole Anderson, of Byron
• Frank Belongia, of Chesaning
• Jeff Hobbs, of Almont
• Rachel Tidey, of Buchanan
Each player and a guest will enjoy a five-night western Caribbean cruises aboard the Royal Caribbean.
Each trip includes roundtrip airfare for two to Tampa, Florida, hotel accommodations for the night before the cruise departure, limited ground transportation, and a $250 ship credit. An additional $150,000 in cash prizes also will be awarded throughout the cruise.
Players still have time to win one of 15 cruises playing the Cruisin’ instant game.
If they are interested, players may visit MichiganLottery.com/Cruise to enter codes from non-winning Cruisin’ instant game tickets.
For just $2, each Cruisin’ ticket offers players the chance to win prizes ranging from $2 up to $30,000.
Players may win up to 12 times on each ticket. Players have won more than $2.4 million playing Cruisin’.
More than 5.3 million in prizes remain, including two $30,000 top prizes, and 16 $1,000 prizes.
Cruisin’ instant game tickets will be available Tuesday at the 11,000 Lottery retailers across the state.
In 2016, Lottery players won nearly $817 million playing instant games.
About 97 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets benefits the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers and vendors. In 2016, the Lottery provided a record $888.9 million to help support Michigan’s public schools. Since it began in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $20.5 billion to support public education.
