Vandenburg

Marlene (Boulton) Vandenburg and Donald Vandenburg, of Niles, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Aug. 17.

The couple married Aug. 17, 1957, at First Baptist Church in Niles.

Marlene and Donald are life-long residents of Niles. They both graduated in 1955 from Niles High School.

Donald served Clark Equipment for 20 years and Sexton at Silverbrook Cemetery for 18 years. Marlene served Clark Equipment in the employee benefits department.

The Vandenburgs have three children: Steve Vandenburg, of Niles; Mike Vandenburg, of Union, Kentucky, and Lisa Sowards, of Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Their grandchildren are Elaine Rowland, of Buchanan; Paul Vandenburg, of Mishawaka; Tom and Sarah Vandenburg of Union, Kentucky, and Morgan and Grant Sowards, of Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Marlene and Donald have three great-grandchildren.
