Eric Lee Rodabaugh of Niles, passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2017, in his home, where he was cared for by his loving wife, Jennifer.

Eric was born June 11, 1976, in Flint, to his loving parents Gary and Debra (Manning) Rodabaugh and joined later by his sister, Shawna.

He spent most of his childhood in Rodney, Michigan, attending Chippewa Hills Schools. He then graduated from Ferris State University with a bachelor’s degree in environmental health and safety. His career included Ice Mountain, Caterpillar, Diamond Power and NIBCO.

On Sept. 9, 2000, Eric married Jennifer (Fitzgerald) in Big Rapids, Michigan. Their wedding, as well as the way they cherished each other, was like a fairy tale. They lived in love and shared many happy adventures. The greatest of these was the birth of their two boys, Brandon and Kinson.

Eric made friends wherever he went. He is survived and remembered by many, including his wife and sons; parents; sister Shawna (Matt) Wolf; nephew Holden; and Eric’s grandmother, Nathalie “Nan” Kranz.

A memorial service will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 17, 2017, at Halbritter-Wickens Funeral Home, 615 E. Main St., where family and friend may gather for an hour prior to the service.
