Patricia Ann Bonfoey, 88, of Alpena, passed away Friday, June 9, 2017, at Turning Brook, surrounded by her loving family.
Patricia Ann Kools was born Jan. 9, 1929, in Niles, to the late Benjamin and Jane (Stakum) Kools.
She married Clair Bonfoey on April 22, 1950. He preceded her in death on Feb. 27, 2003.
She owned and operated Pat’s Pleatery where she sewed drapes and window coverings for many years. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church.
Surviving are five children, Mike and Ruthann Bonfoey, Teri and Paul Karsten, Mary Hendrix, and Lori and Oscar Hnanicek; 12 grandchildren, Erin, Keri, Sean, Katie, Cam, Joey, Emily, Adrienne, Chelsea, Taylor, Adam and Nathan; nine great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Lynn Kools; brother-in-law Don Gray; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Bonfoey was preceded in death by three brothers, Joe Kools, Jack Kools and Gene Kools, and one sister, Mary Gray.
Memorial visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 16, 2017, at Bannan Funeral Home, with a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Memorial visitation will continue from 10 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2017, at St. Anne Church of All Saints Parish. The Rev. James Fitzpatrick will officiate. Inurnment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
