Jon Jankoviak

Jon graduated from high school in 1957 and enlisted in The U.S. Army Reserves in 1961. He furthered his education obtaining an associate’s degree in accounting. He worked in accounting for many years at Clark Equipment Company in Buchanan as well as Associates.

On July 15, 1961, Jon married Kathleen J. Payne at a ceremony in Niles.

Jon firmly believed John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

He was a member of Michiana Christian Embassy in Niles where he served as deacon for a number of years. Jon had a sincere faith and did more than believe the gospel, he lived it. Many can recall his generosity and kindness shown to friends and strangers; he was a humble man who never wanted the spotlight. He enjoyed playing cards and, more than anything, time spent with family. Jon was an enthusiast of Notre Dame and Detroit sports.
