Mary “Mickey” A. (Cooper) Churchill, 77, of Dowagiac, passed away, Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at South Bend Hospice House.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 21 at Clark Chapel and Cremation Services, 405 Center St., Dowagiac, with Father Maurice Kissane officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from noon until 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Mickey was born April 20, 1939, in Dowagiac to Frances & Patricia (Zelinski) Cooper. She graduated from Dowagiac Central High with the class of 1957. On Nov. 15, 1958, she married Luther Churchill in Dowagiac at Holy Maternity Catholic Church. Mickey worked at C. W. Wimberly for many years as a customer relations expert. She enjoyed having lunch once a month with her high school classmates. Mickey spent her free time sewing, she made baby quilts, blankets and custom curtains.

Mickey is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Craft of Dowagiac and her son, Jeff (Francis) Churchill of Manhattan, KS; three grandchildren, Samantha & William Craft and Ralph Churchill; her siblings, James Cooper of Oregon, Patricia Kling of Dowagiac and William (Rhonda) Cooper of Kentucky; and sister-in-law, Hannah Steinfeld of Kalamazoo.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther on April 30, 2000, and her brother, Donald Cooper.
