Athlete Showcase: Brandywine’s Brady Duval

Brady Duval is a junior on the Brandywine baseball team.

 

What has been one of your greatest

accomplishments as an athlete?

BD: Winning conference my freshman and sophomore years in baseball.

What has been one of your biggest

disappointments as an athlete?

BD: Losing to Berrien Springs on a suicide bunt in the pre-district.

Who is a “hero” in your life and why?

BD: My dad, because he is always helping me with sports.

When are you the most nervous while you are competing?

BD: When the game is on the line.

How do you tend to workout/train when by yourself?

BD: I tend to listen to music.

What other sport would you like to compete in if you were not playing yours?

BD: Golf.

Why are sports an important part of a high school experience?

BD: It keeps you in shape and you can meet new people.

How would you give away $50,000?

BD: Donate to a charity.

If you could be the head coach of a team for a year, what team would you choose?

BD: Chicago Cubs

If I did not play sports, I would…?

BD: Be at my grandpa’s lake everyday.

What is the most challenging thing for you to do in your sport?

BD: Make diving catches.

If you could change one rule about your sport, what would it be?

BD: Using wood bats in high school.

What is the best compliment you have ever received?

BD: Nice hit.

What was the last thing you saw someone do that really impressed you?

BD: Jeshua Wiese hitting a home run.

What is your favorite hobby? Why?

BD: Playing Xbox because it keeps me occupied.
