A Dowagiac woman was taken to the hospital Tuesday afternoon after her vehicle left the roadway and overturned, according to a release from the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

Nineteen-year-old Kaitlyn McKenzie Williams was transported to the Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital by Pride Care Ambulance, where she was treated for minor injuries sustained in the crash.

According to police, the accident occurred around 5:18 p.m. when deputies with the sheriff’s office responded to a reported single vehicle rollover crash on Glenwood Road, south of Morton Street, outside Dowagiac. Williams was traveling northbound on Glenwood when her vehicle ran off the roadway and rolled.

Seatbelts were worn during the crash, and alcohol doesn’t appear to have been a factor in the accident.
