The U.S. Post Office’s “Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive” delivered hundreds of pounds of food for the benefit of ACTION’s (Area Churches Together In One Network) food pantry in Dowagiac Saturday.

ACTION is extremely grateful for the efforts of Postal workers and volunteers and for the significant boost to the Pantry’s food supply.

This drive is a substantial help to the pantry since it frees ACTION to use funds to purchase meat and produce.  The need in Dowagiac is great and donations continue to be the way the organization can best address this need.

The pantry is open from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturdays and serves 30 to 50 families weekly.  Anyone living in the Dowagiac school district and demonstrating need is welcome to take part in what the food pantry has to offer.
