Performing Arts Workshops announces summer workshop schedule

The Performing Arts Workshops (PAW) has announced its camp schedule for the summer season.

(PAW) is a Niles-based, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the arts in youth. It was formerly known as Brandywine Performing Arts Workshop.

• June 20-23 — PAW will be conducting its fifth annual “PAW Jr.” summer workshop. This workshop is open to any student from any school currently in second through sixth grade.

• June 24 — PAW will be conducting its first ever “PAW Cubs” workshop. PAW Cubs is open to any student from any school currently in kindergarten or first grade.

• June 27 to July 1 — PAW will be conducting its first ever “Broadway” workshop where students will learn and perform “The Lion King Jr.” This workshop is open to any student from any school currently in fifth through 12th grade.

All three workshops will take place at Brandywine Elementary School, located at 2428 S 13th St., in Niles.

PAW also announced that it has receiving a $2,800 grant from the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs/New Leaders Art Council of Michigan.
